Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston required a better way to facilitate communication throughout their operation. They needed a solution that could be accessed from dozens of different locations throughout the city without interruption. They also needed one that was guaranteed to be available when they needed it. A cloud migration strategy seemed to be the answer. Getting there, however, was an entirely different matter.
Techcess Group’s experience with non-profits made creating a cloud computing strategy for Interfaith the natural solution. The challenge was transitioning their operation’s custom applications to the cloud. Techcess Group was able to create a scalable cloud network designed to allow them to leverage partnerships with Tier 3 and Tier 4 data centers and pay for only what they needed.
Results
Techcess Group worked closely with the developers of Interfaith Ministries’s custom applications to incorporate their distinct requirements into the design of the cloud. Extensive testing before the launch ensured proper function and minimized downtime. Post-launch, Techcess Group continues to provide managed services for the non-profit, including 24/7 help desk, server support and desktop support.
Following Hurricane Ike, which put us out of business for 2 weeks, we decided to move to the Cloud with Techcess Group. We have been using their services for the past 3 years, moving from a very old system to the latest technologies, with state of the art hardware and software located at their Data Center at Cyrus One. And most importantly, we did not have to spend 100s of thousands of dollars to revamp our environment - we just pay per user as we go. The end result is that we have a high performance IT environment now with much happier and more productive users.
