Planning for the future for a rapidly rising offshore drilling contractor

Premium Drilling was built for rapid growth from day one. As an offshore drilling contractor with plans to provide top quality drilling rigs throughout the world, Premium Drilling required an IT infrastructure was tailored for aggressive growth and a robust support plan. And they needed it now.

Techcess Group’s first challenge was to meet Premium’s tight deadline for installation. Techcess Group’s deep experience in the oil & gas industry provided the basis for its IT recommendation. The plan indicated a unique hybrid infrastructure be created to meet the needs of a small Houston-based management team – as well as expected growth in multiple international locations. Initial installations included cabling offices, installing desktop and laptop computers and establishing a network of physical servers able to support offices worldwide with a significant presence in Southeast Asia.

Results

Techcess Group mapped out an intuitive long-term support strategy for the small Houston based management team that that quickly ballooned to more than 500 employees worldwide. Techcess Group matched Premium’s aggressive growth and helped sustain and maintain its expansion with constant support, even after the company was sold.
